About Lauren
(She/Her/Hers)

First, I'm so glad you're here! I have a deep admiration for anyone who reaches out for therapy. I get the risk, the discomfort, and the fear of the unknown because I've been there too. Sometimes we have to take a chance in order to create space for something new to happen.

I never thought twice about what I wanted to do with my life because I was clearly good at one thing from an early age: playing the cello. It wasn't until I landed on a therapy couch that I allowed myself to think twice and consider who I wanted to be. My experience in therapy offered me a place to challenge old patterns and breathe life into new dreams that have shaped who I am today. My hope is to create a space for you to explore, change, challenge, and grow as well.

I am passionate about working with couples and individuals who feel stuck and are eager for a change. I will walk alongside you as we search for new ways of loving, understanding, and communicating with those around you. I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) in my work as a counselor which is backed by over 20 years of research on attachment and relationship patterns. EFT has been proven to help couples change their habits, communicate in new ways, find security in their relationship, and reestablish connection and trust.

In addition to EFT, I draw from attachment-based research, Internal Family Systems (IFS) strategies, and mindfulness practices. I strongly believe that the client is the expert in their own life. I will never assume to know or perfectly understand your experience because your experience is as unique as you! I look forward to hearing your story and would greatly appreciate the chance to work with you.
